WELCOMING

    Stop at Revolution Square for pictures and orientation, drive along main avenues and arteries in Vedado district: Los Presidentes, 23th, Rampa, Linea ,hotel Habana Libre; continue to Old Havana for a walking tour about its four emblematic squares (Plaza de la Catedral, Plaza Vieja, Plaza de San Francisco de Asis & Plaza de Armas) stop near Plaza de la Catedral for a mojito at La Bodeguita del Medio. Walk down Obispo Street all the way until El Floridita Bar and restaurant (another Hemingway favorite place) Return to modern Havana and inspect the elegant district of Miramar as you drive down 5th Avenue. HAVANA / PINAR DEL RIO - VIÑALES / HAVANA

  • After breakfast, departure to Viñales where the best tobacco in the world is cultivated. Start with a stop in Pinar del Rio (160 km, 2 hour drive) to visit its cigar factory of Francisco Donatien Cigar factory. If you're tracking the full story of tobacco from plant to cigar then this is the inevitable place to be visited
    Continue to Viñales about 27 km and visit the so-called Indian´s Cave and to the Mural of Prehistory. Lunch at Mural of Prehistory´s restaurant or any other in the area

    About Indian cave: In a pretty nook 5.5 km north of Viñales village, this cave is very popular with visitants An ancient indigenous dwelling, the cave was rediscovered in 1920. After a short 200m walk, you're transferred to a motor boat to ply the final 400m along an underground river. The cave is electrically lit and the experience is different. Exit through the gift shop.

    About Mural of Prehistory: A 120m-long painting, 4km west of Viñales village on the side of Mogote Pita. Leovigildo González Morillo, a follower of Mexican artist Diego Rivera, designed it in 1961 (the idea was hatched by Celia Sánchez, Alicia Alonso and Antonio Núñez Jiménez). On a cliff at the foot of the 617m-high Sierra de Viñales, the highest portion of the Sierra de los Órganos, this massive mural took 18 people four years to complete.

HAVANA / MATANZAS - GUAMA / CIENFUEGOS / TRINIDAD

    Drive to Guama resort (180 km, 2:15 hour drive). Visit to Taina Village , the sculptural replica made by Rita Longa artist about an ancient village with Indians workings and living , the tour will be done by speed boats Return to main land and inspect the nearby Crocodiles Breeding Farm .Lunch will be organized in a Restaurant located near the boats’ dock.

Days 4

TRINIDAD / VALLEY OF THE SUGAR MILLS AND IZNAGA

  • After breakfast Trinidad City Tour in the center (12 km) Visit to the historical core of the city, included visit to the so-called Romantic Museum and to Bar Canchanchara for tasting and live music.
    The ground floor of the the glittering Palacio Brunet (Romantic Museum) was built in 1740, and the upstairs was added in 1808. In 1974 the mansion was converted into a museum with 19th-century furnishings, a fine collection of china and various other period pieces.
    La Canchanchara is famous for its eponymous house (La Canchánchara) cocktail made from rum, honey, lemon and water. Local musicians regularly drop by for off-the-cuff jam sessions, and it's not unusual for the canchánchara-inebriated crowd to break into spontaneous dancing.

TRINIDAD / SANTA CLARA / VARADERO

  • After breakfast (check out and settle your accounts) depart to Santa Clara. Visit to the Armored Train Museum History was made at the site of this small boxcar museum on December 29, 1958, when Ernesto 'Che' Guevara and a band of 18 rifle-wielding revolutionaries barely out of their teens derailed an armored train using a borrowed bulldozer and homemade Molotov cocktails.
    Visit to Che Guevara monument, mausoleum and museum complex it is located 2km west of Parque Vidal (via Rafael Tristá on Avenida de los Desfiles),.
    The statue was erected in 1987 to mark the 20th anniversary of Guevara's murder in Bolivia, and can be viewed any time. Accessed from behind the statue, the respectful mausoleum contains 38 stone-carved niches dedicated to the other guerrillas killed in the failed Bolivian revolution. In 1997 the remains of 17 of them, including Guevara, were recovered from a secret mass grave in Bolivia and reburied in this memorial. Fidel Castro lit the eternal flame on October 17, 1997. The adjacent museum houses the details and ephemera of Che's life and death.

    Depart Varadero to Havana (150 km, 2 ½ hrs drive) stop and tour in the fishing village of Cojimar, Lunch in a restaurant at the village
    Then drive on to Old Havana and visit the in-door market of Almacenes de San Jose. Drive past the Revolution Museum (that houses the revolutionary yacht of Granma) then the Capitol building and alongside the ocean-font of malecon. Continue to a panoramic tour in modern Havana .Visit Fusterlandia in the coastal town of Jaimanitas where artist José Fuster has turned his home neighborhood into a masterpiece of intricate tile work and kaleidoscopic colors – a street-art wonderland similar than Barcelona’s Park Güell . Fuster is known as Caribbean Gaudí relocated to a tropical setting.
